Frequently Asked Questions About Our Services
How quickly can I schedule my first psychiatric appointment here?
Most initial consultations are available within one week of your call. We prioritize accessibility and understand that when you’re struggling with mental health concerns, timely care matters for your wellbeing and recovery.
Do you accept my insurance or offer self-pay payment options?
We accept most major insurance plans including employer-sponsored coverage and Medicare. Our intake coordinators verify your benefits upfront and provide transparent financial information. Self-pay options are also available for uninsured patients.
What makes SPRAVATO therapy different from traditional antidepressant medications I've tried?
SPRAVATO® works through a different brain mechanism than traditional antidepressants, often providing relief within hours or days rather than weeks. It’s specifically FDA-approved for treatment-resistant depression when other medications haven’t worked.
Is telepsychiatry as effective as meeting with a psychiatric provider in person?
Yes, telepsychiatry provides the same quality of care as in-person visits. It’s ideal for medication management follow-ups and therapy sessions, offering convenience and privacy while maintaining clinical effectiveness throughout Texas.
What conditions do your psychiatric providers treat beyond depression and anxiety?
We treat the full spectrum of adult mental health conditions including ADHD, bipolar disorder, PTSD, OCD, substance use disorders, postpartum depression, eating disorders, and more through comprehensive psychiatric evaluation and treatment.
Will I see the same psychiatric provider each visit for continuity?
Yes, we believe in relationship-based care. You’ll work with the same psychiatrist throughout your treatment journey. Unlike large institutions, we know our clients by name and provide personalized, consistent attention.
How long does a typical psychiatric evaluation appointment take initially?
Your initial comprehensive psychiatric evaluation lasts approximately 90 minutes. This allows time to thoroughly discuss your concerns, medical history, symptoms, and collaboratively develop a personalized treatment plan addressing your unique needs.
What should I expect during ongoing treatment after my evaluation?
Early in treatment, appointments occur every two to four weeks for monitoring. As symptoms stabilize, visits become less frequent. Between appointments, our patient portal provides secure messaging and prescription refill requests.
